Dr. Ed Cabellon is a collaborative higher education leader in Student Affairs, Enrollment, and Technology areas. With over twenty years of progressive administrative experience, he is currently the Vice President of Student Services and Enrollment Management at Bristol Community College. As a first-generation college graduate from an Filipino family, he has spent over 20 years working primarily in state universities and colleges as an administrator and faculty member working to positively impact the lives of students and their families.
Additionally, Dr. Cabellon is an experienced scholar, speaker, and consultant in leadership, organizational change, and technology. Since 2007, he has delivered over 100 invited keynotes, presentations, and workshops for colleges, universities, businesses, and associations across the United States and Canada. He has also co-edited and authored articles and publications focused on engaging the digital generation of college students, faculty, and administrators. These efforts have earned him national recognitions, including being named to the “Top 50 Must Read Higher Education Technology Websites” list by Ed Tech: Focus on Higher Education from 2012-2017, the Chronicle of Higher Education’s “Technology Innovators” list in 2013, and as an ACPA Diamond Honoree in 2015.
Dr. Cabellon’s research reflects the need for educational institutions and organizations to strategically implement technology to improve work capacity, augment existing engagement efforts, and catalyze changes that positively impact student recruitment, retention, and success. He is avid runner (completing 18 half marathons, the 2016 Marine Corps Marathon and the 2017 and 2018 Boston Marathons). He resides in Brockton, MA with his wife Becky and daughters Emilia (13) and Elliana (11).
